Pitch Up
events and supportPitch Up
Make connections, start conversations.
Pitch Up is an in-person event which provides a platform for venues and artists to pitch ideas, providing space for new partnerships to emerge. By having both venues and theatre-makers pitch what they have to offer and what they're looking for, we aim to foster a more collaborative and open approach than traditional pitching events.
We host Pitch Up events each year in venues across the South East, inviting an open audience made up of theatre makers, arts professionals and other local venues eager to connect and listen to the pitches of the day. The next Pitch Up event will be in Spring 2026.
Who can pitch?
- Theatre-makers creating or wanting to create work for and/or with audiences in the South East of England
- Cultural organisations wanting to connect with venues & artists
- Organisations supporting under-represented groups or disability projects within the arts
- Arts venues, performance spaces, theatres, or Creative People and Places (CPP) programmes that are based in the South East of England (Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex) who have opportunities to they want to engage with artists about.

Pitch Up: Suffolk
On Monday 3 November, house was hosted by New Wolsey Theatre for our Pitch Up: Suffolk event.
Run by house southeast theatre network, Pitch Up provides a platform for venues and artists to pitch ideas and opportunities and create space for new partnerships to emerge; bringing together 10 artists and companies and around 10 venue representatives to share opportunities, connect and collaborate in front of an audience.
The following South East based venues joined us to pitch their opportunities for partnership working: Cambridge Junction, The Seagull Lowestoft, The Cornhall Diss, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, The Garage Norwich, Norwich Theatres, Chelmsford Theatre, Colchester Arts Centre, Eastern Angles, St George's Theatre Great Yarmouth and Sheringham Little Theatre.
By bringing venues and theatre-makers together for the day to talk about what they have to offer, and what they're looking for, house aims to foster a more collaborative, open approach to traditional pitching events.
