Pitch Up is an in-person event which provides a platform for venues and artists to pitch ideas, providing space for new partnerships to emerge. By having both venues and theatre-makers pitch what they have to offer and what they're looking for, we aim to foster a more collaborative and open approach than traditional pitching events.

We host Pitch Up events each year in venues across the South East, inviting an open audience made up of theatre makers, arts professionals and other local venues eager to connect and listen to the pitches of the day. The next Pitch Up event will be in autumn 2025.

Pitch Up: Sussex

This May house, hosted by Brighton Fringe delivered Pitch Up: Sussex.

The following South East based venues joined us to pitch their opportunities for partnership working: Chichester Festival Theatre, Stanley Arts, The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre, The Nutshell, Ropetackle Arts Centre, caravan, Farnham Maltings, New Wolsey Theatre, The Astor and Cambridge Junction.

By bringing venues and theatre-makers together for the day to talk about what they have to offer, and what they're looking for, the day fostered a collaborative, open approach to traditional pitching events.

The Pitch Up event also invited an open audience of theatre makers and other local venues to connect and listen to the pitches of the day.
