About your trainers
Mark Makin is house’s freelance Touring Associate www.housetheatre.org.uk
He is also co-director of makin projects who handle both national and international tour booking and tour production, festival programming and management, and an increasing number of national comedy festival and comedy club bookings.

John Luther has been the Artistic Director of South Street Arts Centre in Reading since 2003, developing the venue into one of the UKs most respected small-scale touring spaces.
Not knowing that "programming" could be a job, John started his career booking bands and comedians for The North Pole in Winchester, an Arts Cafe / venue which he set up with fellow graduates of Winchester University. From there he went on to Harrow Arts Centre as programming manager before arriving in Reading.
