About Communicating Sustainability

Join Indigo for a session about how great communications around your venue’s commitment to sustainability can reap a multitude of benefits.

One of the biggest challenges for organisations is how to effectively communicate their commitment and actions around sustainability in a way that both resonates with audiences and encourages them to support and play their part.

Did you know that 86% of cultural audiences are worried about the impact of climate change? 72% think we have a responsibility to influence society about the climate emergency, but only 16% think that we currently place great importance on doing so?

At least 25% of our audiences don’t know what cultural organisations are doing in relation to sustainability.

In this session, the brilliant team at Indigo will share insights into sustainability communications, as well as findings from their sustainable travel project Act Green, giving venues a better understanding as to the impact this work can have in helping you to deliver your own sustainability goals and connect with audiences.

As part of this webinar, Indigo will also introduce their new pilot project Talking Sustainability, an opportunity available to house network members. The pilot will help test and develop a toolkit for communicating about sustainability in the cultural sector and will run from September 2025 – September 2026.
