About Carbon Literacy for Theatre Professionals
The climate emergency is no longer a future concern, but something that is affecting and changing our lives in the here and now.
Tuesday 19 September, 10am - 5.30pm
at Farnham Maltings
Free but tickets must be booked (limited space)
Carbon Literacy is an awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.
This one day training has been designed to speak directly to arts practitioners including those working backstage, in operations and in facilities. We examine the science, root causes and impacts of the climate emergency, how the arts are responding, and include an overview of all three volumes of the Theatre Green Book which provide tools and guidance for making our venues, operations and productions more sustainable.
This training has been accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project which means learners can receive a certification from the CLP which has now been rolled out in over 18 nations and has an alumni list of more than 50 thousand accredited participants.
This training was developed in association with The Unicorn Theatre
