South Hill Park Arts Centre, Learning and Participation Manager
OpportunitiesJob Description
Located in a beautiful eighteenth century Mansion house and grounds and 1980s theatre, South Hill Park is a unique and highly regarded arts centre and theatre, providing a rich mix of arts performances and activities.
The Learning Manager is both a creative curator and an organiser. You will have a strong creative voice, shaping the programme of courses and classes, while also ensuring their smooth delivery.
This is as much an arts programming and producing role as it is an administrative one. You will design and curate a portfolio of over 250 courses, classes, and workshops each year in everything from ceramics to tap dancing.
It is a dynamic, multifaceted role: you will balance strategic programming with practical delivery, combining creativity with strong logistical oversight. One day you might be developing a new course with an artist; the next you might be finalising timetables, managing budgets, and analysing participation data. You will build and nurture relationships with tutors, delivery partners, participants and local partners, working across departments to ensure the programme continues to thrive and evolve.
Normal hours: 21 hours per week plus lunch breaks. Additional hours may be required for which time off in lieu will be given.
Holiday: 29 days (pro rata) paid annual leave (including public and Bank Holidays)
Pension: Enrolment into South Hill Park’s workplace pension scheme.
