The Point is based in the heart of Eastleigh town centre between Southampton and Winchester. The venue boasts a diverse programme of theatre, contemporary dance, contemporary performance, comedy, film and theatre for children and young people. The Point is also home to the borough’s creative learning team who work in the community and with schools across multiple disciplines.

There are two performance spaces: A mainhouse seating 318 and a studio theatre seating 50. In 2009, The Point opened its state of the art creation space – a double heighted rehearsal space with integrated living accommodation for up to 11 artists meaning companies can be truly ‘in residence’ at the venue. The Point also has a designated dance studio.

The Point also runs a successful associate artist scheme (currently we have 11 associate artists and companies) offering unique opportunities for graduate and early career artists or companies internationally. Sharing a fully equipped office at The Point, the artists benefit from artistic mentorship, studio and theatre space, business development advice covering arts administration, marketing, audience development and technical.
