About South East Dance at The Dance Space

South East Dance at The Dance Space is an arts charity that works with dance professionals and people across the region to make the South East a thriving home for dance.

We support dance artists that specialise in all forms, from breakdancing to ballroom, with funding, tailored advice and networking opportunities throughout their careers. As passionate believers in the health and wellbeing benefits of dance, we also work hard to bring movement to as many people as possible too – particularly those who might not have had the opportunity or the confidence to give it a go before.

The Dance Space is Brighton & Hove’s newest arts & cultural building, based in the city centre just 15 minutes walk from Brighton Station and 10 minutes walk from Palace Pier.

Designed by award winning architects shedkm, The Dance Space features three state-of-the-art, fully accessible studios including a 123-seat performance space/conference space; two modern meeting rooms and three multifunctional artist pods – all housed in an environmentally sustainable building.
