Proteus Creation Space is a beautiful Edwardian building in the heart of Basingstoke. We have a 50 seat flexible performance space which is also able to support aerial circus, a gallery, art workshop spaces, plentiful free parking and a busy café/bar.

Embedded in our community, we interface with them as audience as well as via participatory opportunities including our five Youth Theatres, adult workshop group, arts activities for individuals with pan disabilities and those with mental health issues, the under fives and local social inclusion groups.

Proteus is also a producing company creating professional national and international touring. The work programmed into Creation Space thematically links to that Proteus itself is producing in each season. We have a cohort of three Asscoiate Artsists each year, these have included Little Soldier and Luke Brown dance; we also run Performance Lab, a programme that provides Artists with a week of space in the venue plus a small bursary to create work at the very earliest of stages.
