About Luton Library Theatre

The Luton Library Theatre was faced with closure at the end of 2023, when a group of local people rallied to save it. This started Luton Creative Community, and now, having just finished our first year running the theatre as a completely volunteer based community run theatre, we are looking to broaden our outreach.

We have hosted an amazing array of arts so far at our beautiful, compact venue. Tribute bands, psychic medium shows, comedy evenings, children's entertainment, theatre musicals, podcast recordings, film screenings, play writing events, and even more.

We want the theatre to continue to grow from strength to strength, bringing it back to the centre of the Luton arts scene, and more importantly making it an affordable hub for local talent to perform in and learn from.

As volunteers we have so much to learn, and we are eager to do that, whilst maintaining our firm footing and not taking on too much.
