Groundlings Theatre is an award-winning theatre and drama school based within a beautiful Grade II* listed building in Portsmouth built in 1784 and is now operated by The Groundlings Theatre Trust. As a company we produce 70% – 80% of our yearly programme in-house with a mixture of both professional and amateur shows that both entertains the community and highlights its grassroots talent. Providing numerous safe and unprejudiced opportunities, Groundlings Theatre continues to engage both young and old to pursue their talent and creativity, identifying and supporting the needs of its community and being a hub to bring people together. Our mission is defined by our motto, ‘Create, inspire, achieve’, and this remains at the heart of all our endeavours.
