For over 30 years, Creative Arts East has used creativity to enrich the lives of people in rural and underserved communities across Norfolk and beyond, improving access to the arts, supporting health, wellbeing, and education through events and engagement programmes.

We help community groups in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and beyond turn everyday spaces, like village halls, pubs, churches, and libraries, into vibrant cultural venues, making live performance and cinema more accessible by empowering local people to shape their own cultural offer.

We do this by curating a dynamic, regularly updated programme of high-quality cultural opportunities for promoters, including theatre, music, dance, spoken word, and film. We help bridge the gap between touring artists and community venues by providing practical support to help make events successful. We pay guaranteed fees to artists whilst offering financial subsidies to venues to minimise their risk, as well as providing marketing and administrative assistance, training and more.

Every year, we support over 600 arts and cultural events across more than 70 communities, creating over 30,000 meaningful audience experiences.
