These Hills are Ours

By Daniel Bye and Boff Whalley

★★★★ “Lovely low-key gig theatre” The Stage

Dan and Boff decided to run a series of routes from the centre of the city in which they found themselves, to the top of the peak overlooking the city.

In story and in song, this is the story of what they found out – about the relationship between city and country, between wild and controlled, about land ownership, about why we’re drawn to wild places – and about what we’re really running from.

These Hills Are Ours is the most personal piece of work either Dan or Boff has made, the most heartfelt, and the most direct. It’s really funny and genuinely moving

Stage space: End-on studio spaces. Highly flexible and suitable for non-traditional theatre spaces.

Age guidance: Suitable for ages 12+

Running time: 80-90 minutes

Get-in: From 2pm on the day of the show

Tour Availability: Weeks commencing the 19 & 26 September and 5 December

I, Am Dram

By Hannah Maxwell

★★★★★ “Pure gold… Beautifully constructed and delivered with real skill.” Adelaide Advertiser

★★★★★ “A Generation Z Caroline Aherne!” To Do List

Written and performed by Hannah Maxwell

A story of return, reconciliation and rehearsals with mum. Step-ball-changing between suburb and city, I, AmDram minds the gap between the identities we assert and the worlds we leave.

In this debut piece of storytelling performance, Hannah Maxwell hops a train back to her hometown (of Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire), taking a whistle-stop tour of 90 years of musical theatre heritage in the process. She still remembers every line of the Welwyn Thalians’ 2010 production of My Fair Lady, but nine years in London as a “learned urban lesbian” have left her struggling to find the key.

Stage space: Minimum of 5m wide x 2m deep, 5m by 4m is ideal.

Age guidance: Suitable for ages 12+

Running time: 65 minutes

Get-in: 3 to 5 hours

Tour Availability: Available October & November
