Early Career Training Application

We’re inviting colleagues in the house network to nominate a member of their team at the start of their career to join us for a series of online training sessions this summer.

The training programme has been created for young people involved in the Kickstart scheme, however we’ve made a few places available for non-Kickstart employees.

We’re encouraging nominations for employees who:

  • are at the start of their career (or career change) and/or found their early career development impacted by the pandemic (e.g. made redundant or furloughed)
  • wouldn’t normally be able to access training of this kind
  • might benefit professionally from this training for future employment and ambitions.

The government Kickstart scheme supports young people with job placements and wraparound training in a difficult time. Your nomination should be made in the spirit of the Kickstart scheme: to support early-career employees or those impacted professionally by the pandemic.

There are limited spaces. house will fully subsidise each place. Each workshop will take place online via video conferencing (e.g. Zoom).

Workshop exploring positive gender inclusion in an organisation. Delivered by theatre company, Milk Presents.

Introduction to Leadership: Getting the best out of yourself and other people
07 July, 9.30am-1pm
This half-day course introduces the concept of leader as coach and provides opportunities for you to develop core skills.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Essentials
21 July, 11am-12.30pm
A workshop to help learners understand more about their responsibilities for promoting equality, tackling all forms of discrimination and fostering good relationships between diverse groups of people in the workplace.

Talking about money: an introduction to finance
06 August, 10am-11.30am
Exploring terminology and creating a basic budget, this session will offer a starting point to talking about finance with confidence.
