Touring is a key part of an actor’s life. Everyone does it at some time, whether it’s a first job theatre-in-education tour or a national week by week tour with a big show in prestigious venues. And it’s very different from being in a run at a fixed venue. So why don’t more drama schools devote time to preparing students for touring, whether it’s one-nighters, short runs in different places or something in between?
