Break Your Own Pony

Production details

  • Company: Hunt & Darton
  • Audience: Seated/standing with audience participation

A performance lecture on clichéd well-to-do ladies, Pony Clubs and Polo, the smell of wet leather and Jackie magazine, strong thighs and shovelling shit, spoilt children demanding that Daddy buys them a pony, rosettes and tight hair, country life, whips and gyrating and saying she’s a bit ‘Horsey’. Promising to be both poetic and physical, Hunt and Darton use re-enactments, slide projections and props, Whoa steady!

“…a rollicking, gently humorous, and highly tongue-in-cheek piece about horse-play.” Hannah Nicklin IBT Dec 2010
