Our next seed funding round is now open.
These are awards of £3000-£8000 to support theatre makers and venues in the house network to explore new ways of creating theatre together, in partnership with potential audiences.
We are looking for ideas in the early stages of development and hope to support a range of projects across the house network, although there’s always an emphasis on supporting venues with a limited track record for hosting the development of new work. This time round we will also be focusing on projects from BAME theatre makers and expect a significant proportion of the awards we make to reflect this.
Applications will need to be made through our online form and be a partnership between a theatre maker and a venue.
So far, greenhouse has seeded specific shows, partnered with venues to deliver a series of commissions and supported two producer fellowships. We anticipate that most of these seed funding awards will be made towards specific shows but we welcome applications that reflect other approaches.
The deadline for seed funding applications is 10am, Friday 28 April 2017. Apply online.
Applications will be short-listed by Monday 8 May and short-listed projects will be asked to provide a budget – we don’t need one for before this. A panel will then make the final seed funding decisions with the outcome announced by Tuesday 30 May.
