Don your frontiersman's helmet for this comedic journey to the black heart of the earth’s ecological crisis. There you will see uncanny landscapes, Norman cows, and perhaps, if you are lucky, you may just meet three post- human women from far flung countries who are stuck. in the muck. WTF. Watch as competing political agendas paralyse and liberate them in turn and ever-changing information gives way to hybrid forms and cosmic foul play.
Part art installation, part immersive Absurdist theatre 'stuck' uses clown, rhetoric and soft sculpture to examine cultural entrenchment around climate change. HOAX is working with eco-scenographer Andrea Carr and clown director Lucy Hopkins to realise this imaginative and form-pushing project.
We are looking for support for the realisation of 'stuck'.
We are have currently submitted an ACE application to cover artist's fees and so we are seeking match funding for:
- the final construction of Andrea Carr's set and costumes (all made from reclaimed festival waste)
- support through the provision of rehearsal space and opportunity to develop the technical aspects of the show
- pay an independent producer to spearhead the dissemination of the project throughout festivals (thereby creating a materials ecology and raising festival waste awareness) and performance platforms in the UK and abroad.
